Howard Beach-JFK Airport Station is on the New York City Subway IND Rockaway Line. The following services serve this station:

  • Metro - New York City Subway A Line - Service to Far Rockaway and Inwood-207 St. As of August 2026, 4 trains operate per hour in each direction on weekdays off peak

Sutphin Boulevard–Archer Avenue–JFK Airport Station is located off-site 4 kilometers north of the airport. It was opened on December 11, 1988.


Sutphin Boulevard–Archer Avenue–JFK Airport Station is on the New York City Subway IND and BMT Archer Avenue Lines. The following services serve this station:

Jamaica Station is located off-site 4 kilometers north of the airport. It was opened on 1836.


Jamaica Station is on the Long Island Rail Road Main Line, Atlantic Branch, and Montauk Branch. The following services serve this station:

Connector Services

The AirTrain connects Jamaica and Howard Beach stations with the airport terminals, and connects the terminals with one another.

The AirTrain JFK is a 13 km AGT People Mover (Innovia APM 200) service that connects Jamaica Station, Howard Beach Station, and all airport terminals. This service began in December 17, 2003.


The service uses Innovia APM 200 rolling stock, run in 1-4 car consists with two doors on each side per car. Each car is 17.6m long and 3.1m wide. The system is mostly elevated (with a few tunnels and at-grade segments) and entirely grade separated, primarily following the Van Wyck Expressway.


The AirTrain is owned by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Line color from the airport logo on Wikipedia as of August 16, 2026.
