Overview - Mérida
Located slightly inland on the northwest side of the Yucatán peninsula, Mérida is the capital of and the largest city by population in Yucatán. It has approximately 921,000 inhabitants in the city proper as of 2020. The Mérida metropolitan area comprised 1,316,088 residents as of the 2020 INEGI census.
Mérida's rapid transit network consists of four bus rapid transit services. It also has two BRT-lite services.
Va-y-Ven IE-TRAM
Opened 2023, Va-y-Ven's IE-TRAM consists of four bus rapid transit services and two BRT-Lite services that serve the city of Mérida, Yucatán.
901 - Estación Teya
Route 901 (Line 3) of the IE-TRAM is a bus rapid transit service on an East-West alignment. It runs from La Plancha in the west to Estación Teya (Tren Maya) in the east, serving 6 stations of which two are served in a single direction only. It shares a dedicated busway with Route 902 between La Plancha and Héroes but runs in mixed traffic elsewhere. Note that Route 901 departures are synced to the Tren Maya schedule, with seven round trips per day.
Route 901 was opened in December 2023, with an additional stop at Héroes added later. The Paseo 60 portion was later spun off into its own service. The last expansion was the opening of CETRAM Oriente (northbound only) in September 2024. Route 901 is owned by the Agencia de Transporte de Yucatán and operated by Va-y-Ven.
902 - Kanasín
Route 902 (Line 2) of the IE-TRAM is a bus rapid transit service on an East-West alignment. It runs from downtown Mérida in the west to Parque Kanasín in the east via La Plancha, serving 21 stations of which 11 are served in a single direction only. It shares a dedicated busway with Route 901 between La Plancha and Héroes and runs on dedicated curbside lanes in Kanasín but runs in mixed traffic elsewhere. Route 904 (Line 2A) is a variant of this route that only runs during PM hours and extends to the Campo de Beisbol beyond Parque Kanasín in addition to skipping several stops.
Route 902 was opened in December 2023. The last expansion was the extension to Mercado Lucas de Gálvez sometime between October and December 2024. Route 902 is owned by the Agencia de Transporte de Yucatán and operated by Va-y-Ven.
903 - Facultad de Ingeniería
Route 903 (Line 1) of the IE-TRAM is a BRT-Lite service on a North-South alignment. It runs from C-59 x 50 Col. Centro in the south to Facultad de Ingeniería in the north, making dozens of single directional stops. It runs on a dedicated busway between La Plancha and Itzimná and runs on dedicated curbside lanes along Prol Paseo Montejo and Calle 50, but runs in mixed traffic elsewhere.
Route 903 was opened in May 2024. Southbound service was rerouted away from the busway sometime between May and August 2024. Route 903 is owned by the Agencia de Transporte de Yucatán and operated by Va-y-Ven.
905 - Estación Umán
Route 905 (Line 5) of the IE-TRAM is a BRT-Lite service on a Northeast-Southwest alignment. It runs from the Estación del Tren Maya in the southwest to La Plancha in the northeast, serving 10 stations of which 5 are served in a single direction only. It shares a dedicated busway with Route 906 between Aviación and Industrial and runs in mixed traffic elsewhere. Note that Route 905 departures are synced to the Tren Maya schedule, with four round trips per day.

906 - CETRAM Umán
Route 906 (Line 4) of the IE-TRAM is a bus rapid transit service on a Northeast-Southwest alignment. It runs from CETRAM Umán in the southwest to La Plancha in the northeast, serving 32 stations of which 19 are served in a single direction only. It has a dedicated busway between Centenario and Nueva Sambulá and shares a dedicated busway with Route 905 between Aviación and Industrial, and runs in mixed traffic elsewhere.
Route 906 was opened in August 2024. Route 906 is owned by the Agencia de Transporte de Yucatán and operated by Va-y-Ven.
