Overview - Hong Kong International Airport
Hong Kong International Airport [zh] (IATA: HKG; ICAO: VHHH) serves the city of Hong Kong.
Service to the city is provided through Airport (機場) Station, located on-site. Within the airport, there are also three internal services.
External Services
External services to Hong Kong are provided through Metro.
Airport (機場) Station
Airport (機場) Station [zh] is located on-site at Terminals 1 and 2. It was opened on July 6, 1998.
Airport (機場) Station is on the MTR [zh] Airport Express [zh]. The following services serve this station:
- Metro - Airport Express - Service to AsiaWorld-Expo (博覽館) and Hong Kong (香港). As of June 2026, 6 trains operate per hour in each direction on weekdays off peak
Connector Services
Hong Kong International Airport has no connector service.
Internal Services
The Automated People Mover connects the Terminal 1 Midfield Concourse, the West and East Halls of Terminal 1, and the SkyPier.
Automated People Mover
The Automated People Mover [zh] is a 3 km AGT People Mover (Crystal Mover) line that connects the Midfield Concourse, Terminal 1, and the SkyPier. This service began in July 1998, with the SkyPier extension (operated separately) opening in 2009. The Terminal 1 service was extended to the Midfield Concourse in 2016 when it opened. Operationally, there is a service from the East Hall of Terminal 1 to the Midfield Concourse (with a secondary shuttle from the West Hall of Terminal 1 to the Midfield Concourse), and a service from the East Hall of Terminal 1 to the SkyPier via the former Terminal 2.
The service uses Crystal Mover rolling stock produced by a variety of manufacturers, run in 4+2 car consists with two doors on each side per car. The system is fully underground and entirely grade separated.
The service is operated by the MTR Corporation. Line color is the color of the airport's logo on the official website as of June 12, 2026.
