Overview - Suvarnabhumi Airport

Suvarnabhumi Airport [th] (IATA: BKK; ICAO: VTBS) serves the city of Bangkok.


Service to the city is provided through Suvarnabhumi (สุวรรณภูมิ) Station, located on-site. Within the airport, there is also an internal service.

The Airport Rail Link [th] serves the airport through Suvarnabhumi (สุวรรณภูมิ) Station [th] on the City Line, located north of the airport terminal. This station was opened on August 23, 2010. A single service, the City Line, operates through this station, though an airport express used to operate. As of September 2022, 5 trains operate an hour to the city center (Phaya Thai [th]) on weekdays off peak.

Suvarnabhumi Airport has no connector service.

Internal Services

The Suvarnabhumi Airport Automated People Mover connects the main airport terminal to Satellite Terminal 1.

Suvarnabhumi Airport Automated People Mover

The Suvarnabhumi Airport Automated People Mover is a 1 km NeoVal AirVal People Mover service that connects the Main Terminal Building (MTB) with Satellite Terminal 1 (SAT-1). This service began in September 28, 2023.


As the first ever implementation of AirVal, the Suvarnabhumi APM uses 2.80m wide AirVal rolling stock with two doors on each side per car. The system is fully grade separated and is underground.


The service is owned and operated by Suvarnabhumi Airport. Line color is the blue used on the official airport website as no line color for the APM could be found.
