Located at the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers, Kansas City is split between Kansas and Missouri. Kansas City, Missouri (KCMO) is the largest city by population in Missouri. It has approximately 511,000 inhabitants in the city proper as of 2023. To the west, Kansas City, Kansas (KCK) is the seat of Wyandotte County and is the third largest city by population in Kansas. It has approximately 153,000 inhabitants in the city proper as of 2023. The Kansas City metropolitan area (Kansas City) comprised 2,221,343 residents as of the 2023 US Census Bureau Estimate.

RideKC Streetcar
Opened 2016, KC Streetcar consists of a single modern streetcar service that serves the city of Kansas City, Missouri.
KC Streetcar - Main
The KC Streetcar is a modern streetcar service on a North-South alignment. It runs primarily along Main Street from City Market in the north to UMKC in the south via Downtown Kansas City, serving 18 stops of which three are served in a single direction only.
The KC Streetcar was opened in May 2016 and the last extension was to UMKC in October 2025. The KC Streetcar is operated by the Kansas City Streetcar Authority.
